Labels assigned to a Layer

Currently Labels are added to the ViewportLayout.

If we have the possibility to add Labels to a Layer we can selectively disable a group of Labels that belong to geometry on that Layer.

  • This is a feature we'd appreciate also.

  • I agree, we need this. For example if you have axis labels and different player description and would like to hide or show description depending if layer is visible

  • That would be very important also for us.
It is sometimes very complicated, to show or hide some groups of labels.
    Thank you,
    Stefan

  • I would appreciate having this feature so I don't have to recreate every label when I only want to remove one.

  • It would be great to have this feature.

  • +1, but (maybe) Label is a one of the Mesh or Entity ?

  • It could be a new type of entity, a label-like one. I'd very much appreciate it.

  • Some clarifications:

    1. Labels are defined per Viewport not per Control, so if we added a LabelEntity you would get the same labels in all Viewports
    2. One option to get a similar result would be to add the Billboard property (always parallel to screen during Zoom/Pan/Rotate, as for Text entity) to the Picture entity. Would it work for you?

  • Alberto, can it be a solution to get a zoom invariant entity (text or picture)? Actually, it's my dream.

  • We will never add Zoom invariant entities because they will be cut by view frustum at some point.
