support step entity names

It would be great to have the entity names inside step files available. each brep in general represents a (catia-)body, most points/lines and other stuff also has names (if designer work structured), having all these names would allow better usage of step content.

The names for single bodys inside step are already supported, at least for Step 242.
Hi Stefan, since most suppliers at least in germany are very old school, we are just exporting ap214, as far as i remember, eyeshot is only capable of reading ap203/214 and can write AP203 only.
@Alberto can you clarify?
AP242 is also some kind of myth to most users since it can be either known Step format or someting like plmxml...

I am currently working on a project, where I need to read the bodynames inside a step file.
For this reason I performed a test. I use Visicad as CAD to create the Stepfiles and Eyeshot 2021 to read the step files.
In all formats (AP203, AP214 and AP242) I can read the names of each single Brep in a stepfile.
However, we have in Visi much more attributes, but they are not transfered into the step file. Either the stepformat is not ready to take these informations, or Visi is not ready to write it into the files. (I dont know that...)
Anyway, the names for each single body can be read from Eyeshot for all the Step Formats.
