Preserve Model Layers in the exported 2D DWG drawing

We want to have the layers from our models preserved in the exported 2D DWG drawing (sheets).
When we work with the exported DWG file in AutoCad we want to be able to hide/show layers, add colors per layer, change line tickets and so on.

Further clarification:
When a drawing is generated from the model, the entities of the drawing are all on layer "Silhouettes". But we want the layer of the generated entities to be on the layer of the models entity they are generated from.
