Drawing export to PDF
Having the option to export a Drawing control that have multiple layouts to PDF. Bidding on jobs is mandatory to provide the CAD (preliminary and final) drawing as PDF anywhere in the US and Canada. Also in the end we also need to digitally sign the drawing with the engineer "thing" (i don't know how they call it).
Right now we resort to export to DWG or DXF then open manually in AutoCAD or Solidworks to then export to PDF.
For printing we mostly use AutoCAD as it has proper export feature like quad views which are 4 layouts in 1 page or even custom like 4x6 layouts in 1 page for when you have to print overview of your product on big plotter printer (seems like 3 feet x 5 feet sheet paper to me).
We later on developed our own "Drawing" control out of the "Design" control but it's a mess and very very slow using hiddenlineview. It is also hardcoded for one single app and will not work with anything else we do.
Printing to a pdf printer works but will never be accepted as we will never trust user to print in pdf then attach the file manually to our systems, we want automatization at all cost.
