Yes. Each developer that uses our products must have their own license. We don't license per machine, per server, or demand any royalties or run-time fees. For more information, refer to our EULA. Testers who only test the completed, compiled application (that is, use it in the same way as an end-user does) do not need a license.

Do I need a permanent connection for licensing or a one-time connection?
If a permanent connection is necessary, which address would have to be activated? Due to our company guidelines and the associated security requirements, there is usually no direct connection to the Internet.
Does a trial version require the same settings as a production version?

Permanent connection. You need to open https://id.devdept.com, and the trial version has the same settings.
